AlteTube™ 2D DataMatrix barcodes adhere to the ECC200 standard. Reed-Solomon error correction codes in the DataMatrix barcode reconstructs and verifies data for improved accuracy.

2D barcode for all environments and conditions

AlteTube™ 2D cryovials are stable through a temperature range: -196°C to 121°C but should not be used in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen. 

In addition to being AlteClean™ certified (RNase/DNase free), these are STERILE and suitable for most laboratory applications.

How are these AlteTubes packaged?

These 1.2mL 1D & 2D barcoded cryotubes are sold in cases of ten bags of 50 sterile tubes for a total of 500 cryovials

What is the difference between large rack and SBS rack formatted cryovials? 

SBS racked cryovials are slimmer and taller than large rack formatted cryovials. SBS footprint cryovial racks can hold up to 96 2D cryovials while the large rack formatted accommodate the more traditional 81 or 100 vials.
